Marina mainly works with ages 2 – 14 years. She offers the following assessments and therapy:
Articulation and Phonological disorder: A child with an articulation disorder has problem forming speech sounds properly. A child with phonological disorder can produce the sounds correctly, but may use them in the wrong place.
Reading and Spelling: Reading and spelling therapy is offered to individuals or groups from beginner readers (as young as 5 years old) to older children who needs assistance. The reading and spelling program is also used to support children with dyslexia.
Receptive and expressive language: Receptive language refers to the understanding of language whereas expressive language is the use thereof. Children who might benefit from language therapy may struggle with:
following of directions
forming complete sentences
pronouns and tenses during conversation
word finding difficulties
answering questions appropriately
limited vocabulary
Early childhood intervention: Early intervention is offered to children ages birth to 3 years and their families. Through early intervention, parents can be taught valuable early language strategies so that they can help facilitate their child's speech and language.
Lactation consultations: Provide support and clinical management of breastfeeding.
